Project MenschKI!: Human-Centered Generative AI at Work

  • In the new public funded project MenschKI! the impact of the introduction and use of Generative AI on employees is investigated and practical solutions empowering employees for effective use of Generative AI with personalized learning and adaptation are developed. MenschKI! is is coordinated by the Institute for Information Systems (Prof. Mädche, Prof. Weinhardt) and funded by the Artificial Intelligence in Work and Society Observatory of the Digital Work Society Think Tank at the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs (BMAS)  with €1.67 million. In close collaboration with partner companies, we investigate how generative AI impacts employee productivity and well-being in everyday work and proposes practical solutions for skill development. 

     

    The project partners are Allianz Kunde und Markt GmbH, EnBW Energie Baden-Württemberg AG, hsag Heidelberger Service AG, and the non-profit organization UIG e.V. The project launched in January 2025 and is designed to last three years.
