We welcome Julian Benz as a new team member and doctoral researcher at the Institute for Information Systems (WIN) as part of the newly formed Chair of Information Systems IV – Digital Platforms & Services under Prof. Maximilian Förster.

Julian holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and Management from HTWG Konstanz and subsequently earned a Master of Science in Information Systems at KIT, where he focused on Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence.

His research will focus on reflective methods in AI and how AI applications create and drive economic and societal value, alongside the question of what skills and competencies will matter most in the Age of AI. He will kick off his doctoral journey as part of the EKILED project, investigating how Explainable AI can support students in learning to identify and critically assess digital disinformation.
