We are pleased to announce that as of April 1, 2026, Professor Dr. Maximilian Förster has started his position as Junior Professor and Head of the Research Group Information Systems IV - Digital Platform & Services at the Institute for Information Systems (WIN) at KIT. The junior professorship is sponsored by IBM in addition to its engagement within the Karlsruhe Digital Service Research & Innovation (KSRI) Hub.
 
Prior to joining KIT, Prof. Förster held a position as a post-doctoral researcher at the Institute for Business Analytics at University of Ulm. His research focuses on the reflective use of Artificial Intelligence (AI). His work encompasses the development of reflective methods in AI (e.g., Explainable AI, Uncertainty-aware AI), social and economic value creation enabled by AI, as well as equiping individuals with the skill sets needed to thrive in the age of AI.
